Basic 4 Corner Granny Square in 1 Color – LVL2

Basic 4 Corner Granny Square in 1 Color – LVL2

Supplies :

  • Yarn: Yarn of your choice, I am using Red Heart Super Saver Worsted Weight (4)

  • Hook: recommended by the yarn choice, I am using US I-9

  • Scissors

  • Needle

Pattern Notes:

  • Using USA crochet terms.

  • Granny Squares are worked “in the round”, this beginner Granny Square will be using joined rounds.

  • This pattern will be “flip-flopped” with every round. (It is NOT worked with the right-side facing for every round like many granny square patterns are, thus avoiding a drift.)

  • New rounds of stitches are worked into the chain spaces from the previous round.

  • Corners get a ch 2 between “granny clusters”. Sides get a ch 1 between “granny clusters.”

  • Granny Cluster: A “Granny Cluster” is usually a set of 3 double crochet stitches crocheted into one stitch or chain space.
